12 Hour Laptop Battery Life from Asus

Usually, when you acquire a laptop you have a tradeoff between power and battery life for mobility. Asus managed to put power and a 12-hour battery life together in their new “green” Asus UL80JT laptop. This new generation laptop has two GPUs, a high-end NVIDIA GeForce 310 and a modest Intel GMA together with an Intel Core i7 CPU.

The Asus UL80JT continually monitors the needs of the user, re-clocking the processor and switches between graphic cards to conserve power every second that depends on the processes being carried out.

Some other laptops have used a similar energy saver but the Asus UL80JT is different where nothing needs to be adjusted. Its user-transparent switching happens straight out of the box whenever the user requires the power.
